This low ranch-style home in suburban Denver had suffered from two previous additions and no longer fit with the lifestyle of a former opera diva.  The living room was hopelessly separated from the rest of the house, the kitchen was relegated to another corner of the home, the drab street façade had no appeal, and there was no room for her two concert grand pianos.  The house was not suitable for entertaining on her terms.

This addition to the front of the house brought to fruition the soaring vision of what the house could become.  The tall music room at the front of the house with its off-center arched windows in a curving façade brings a dynamic to the interior, while also creating a new vibrancy from the street.  The state of the art kitchen is now the hub between the music room and dining room, and graceful archways unite the living room with the rest of the home.  And finally, the loft above the kitchen provides just the perfect overlook for guests to savor an evening of dueling pianos.

Other upgrades in this project include a greenhouse that allows the owner to enjoy gardening year-round, and a remodeled master suite including sauna and hot tub.

The home is now truly ready for this former star to spend her days with her voice and piano students (such as the one who received the lead in a recent Broadway musical), and spend her evenings entertaining.
