The Johnson family wanted a log retreat home in the mountains near Winter Park. After looking at many log home companies and their standard floor plans, they were not satisfied. They wanted something unique, that was tailored to them and tailored to their site. So they hired Ewers Architecture to help craft their dream home. This home features the tall soaring spaces they desired, with unique nested trusses, and a warm feeling that they enjoy year round. The house also features: · Main floor master suite with vaulted ceiling, kiva fireplace and private deck. · Office and reading nook in loft overlooking great room. · Three bedrooms and family room in walk-out basement. · Offset deck to maximize natural light in family room below. Ewers Architecture provided the schematic design for the home, and the log home company completed the construction documents. The log home company now features this home in their promotional video and marketing material. |
